It is an incredibly exciting experience for most but it can also be stressful and overwhelming with so many styles and fabrics to choose from. Someone who understands this is Miina from Indiebride London who we had the pleasure of meeting recently. Indiebride London’s mission is to make the process of choosing your dress as easy and fun as possible!
Indiebride London is a combination of two different bridal brands Minna and Indiebride, which have been bought together by the lovely Miina Laitsaari . Miina is a designer, dress maker and face of Indiebride London and she is super friendly, laid back and instantly puts you at ease on meeting her.
We were lucky enough to be invited to her cosy and beautiful showroom which is ironically based inside a church in South London. The showroom is an amazing space with lots of character including some of the churches original features like its exposed beams and sky lights. Vintage mirrors and quirky props surround the rails of gorgeous cotton and silk dresses and the natural light that comes through the ceiling compliments everything perfectly! As the sun goes down the pretty fairy lights give it super warm cosy feel and which makes you not want to leave.
Indiebride London’s designs consist of two different styles of dresses – vintage Inspired and bohemain. The accessories are all so unique, with an effortlessly cool and laid back feel to them, handmade in the highest quality lace, silk and pearls. All dresses and accessories are hand made to order from scratch and designed by the Indiebride London’s team who are passionate about creating beautiful handcrafted pieces. They are big on sustainability and one of things we loved most about their ethos is any left over material from your dress can be made into an accessory, whether that might be a belt or an add on to your veil, nothing is wasted.
If you are feeling intimidated by big bridal shops and pushy sales people this really is the place for you. With its warm homely feel, lovely staff and customer service that is second to none, you really do receive a hands on truly unique experience.
