Make-up for Elizabeth Stuart Collection 2016

By 17 February, 2016Bridal

We were lucky enough to work again with the amazing Elizabeth Stuart on her 2016 collection.  After seeing the dresses we decided to go with a preppy , pretty and youthful make-up look. Elizabeth’s gowns feature beautiful Chantilly lace and luxurious silk georgette which offer beautiful movement and highlight feminine curves.  See what products we used on the day to recreate these looks at home.

Complexion:

Primer – Chanel Le Blanc – our go to primer which adds a glow from within. This will ensure your make-up lasts longer and will create a smooth and radiant base for your foundation, apply sparingly from the t-zone out.

Foundation – Cover FX Custom Cover drops  – these revolutionary drops allows you to mix pure pigment with any of your favourite beauty products (moisturiser, serum, oils, primers) Depending on your skin type that day. Apply this foundation lightly working it in with a buffing brush or fingers.

Cheeks – Butter London’s Honey Pie – a luminous cream blush that gives a long lasting silky finish.  Using your middle finger pat a small amount of the cream blush just on the apples of the cheeks and blend upwards – try smiling to find the apples of the cheeks.

Contour– Hourglass Ilume Creme to Powder Bronzer Duo – This lightweight product blends beautifully into the skin to create a natural looking contour. Using your fingers or a brush suitable for cream products, lightly blend your bronzer along the top of the forehead, temples, cheekbones and nose. The aim is to add a little colour anywhere the sun would naturally hit.

 Eyes

Eye base – Mac Pro Paint Pot in Indian Wood–  We used this all over the eye blending up to the brow bone. It has great staying power! Using a small amount of the producst on your finger just sweep across the eye lid and then blend in with a clean finger. Using a small angled brush then sweep under the bottom lashes.

Eye liner – MAC Blacktrack –  Great great texture and glides on to give you the perfect feline flick.  Using an angled brush  draw on dots of where you want your flicks to end first. Then starting from the inner corner of the eye paint a thin line as close to your top lash line as possible across to the dot to join everything up.

Eyebrows – Mac eyebrow pencil in Lingering – yet to find a better eyebrow pencil, suits everyone! Using light weight strokes in an swift  upwards motion will keep your brows looking natural without over powering the look.

Lips

Lipstick – MAC Boldly Bare lip liner – Use this all over the lips with a touch of Vaseline to give the perfect natural pout.

TIP:  If you have dark eyes try using Mac Pro Paint Pot in- Antique Diamond
