Autumn Winter Make-up trends 2016

Get inspiration for this years autumn and winter’s make up trends with a rundown of our 5 strongest, most wearable looks.

This season lips are vampy, dramatic and fierce think black cherry, blackcurrant and dark toned reds. The finishes vary from high shine, stained to super matte. If this seems a little scary opt for an ombre lip using a dark lip liner blended into a lipstick roughly 4 shades lighter.  We love Glastonbury by Charlotte Tilbury and Black Widow by TOPSHOP.

Shine and glow is nothing to be afraid of this winter, less powder and more creamy easy to use foundations and highlighters. Think healthy fresh clear skin with perfectly placed highlighter on eyelids, cheekbones, brow bone and cupids bow. Girly and romantic colours are trending for this seasons cheeks. Think flawless complexions and a pop of bright colour that gives a rosy pinched cheek effect.  It’s time to put down your bronzer girls and stop with the contouring.  A couple of great products to try are Benetint by Benefit and Rosey Glow blusher by DIOR.

Exaggerated graphic and experimental is key for this updated take on A/W 2016 eyeliners.  We saw everything from clean, angled shapes to lived-in smudged rock star looks.  We also saw fun, youthful takes on the trend with brightly coloured precisely placed lines above the natural contour line of the eyelids.  Whether you opt for the chic dark and sultry or a splash of fancy colour your eyes should be lined this season!
