Lucia’s Bridal Makeup in Puglia Italy

By 5 February, 2019Bridal

Lucia & Harrison were married at the stunning Masseria Potenti in Puglia, Italy.  Although we love being makeup artists in London, it is always such an amazing experience when we get to travel!

Myself Andrea took care of Lucia and her 4 bridemaids makeup on the day. Masseria Potenti was a dream location for getting ready in, so much space and natural light with the most beautiful surroundings.

Lucia wanted her eyes to be the main focus of her bridal makeup, she is not used to wearing a huge amount of foundation and with already flawless skin she didn’t need it. We wanted her skin to be as natural looking as possible letting the eyes do all the work!

Lucia was happy for the bridesmaids to have whatever makeup made them feel comfortable, the looks varied from a smokey eye to red lips.

Skin Prep

I used Kielh’s Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado under the eyes, this eye cream instantly gives the under eyes a moisture boost and makeup sits beautifully on top of it.

I used the Super Facialist glow boost serum under Embryolisee nourishing moisturiser to give the skin a glow from within. These are both light weight products and I used them sparingly, in hot climates its important not too over moisturise or use any creams that are too thick as it can make the makeup slide.

Base Makeup

The foundation was Lucia’s own which was the Arbonne Intelligence CC cream. This product evens out out the skin tone with a really light coverage. I then pressed Laura Mercier’s Secret Camouflage concealer into the skin on any areas that needed a little extra coverage.

Under the eyes I used IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye concealer in Tan. I absolutely love this concealer, its really pigmented but dewy at the same time and doesn’t accentuate fine lines at all.

I used our bridal go to BECCA Cosmetics shimmering skin perfecters in Opal & Pearl to give the skin even more luminosity.

Eyes

Lucia’s brief was warm/rusty/chocolate tones on the eyes. I mixed Tom Ford’s Cognac Sable eye shadow palette with some shades from Viseart’s neutral mattes palette to create this.

Lashes were Ardel Demi Whispies and I added Illmasqua’s precision gel liner in black to create a soft 70’s glam flick.

Finishing Touches

I washed the cheeks with a creamy blush by Stilla in the shade Lilium and finished off the skin with a dusting of my favorite Laura Mercier bronzer.

To complete the look I used Charlotte Tilbury’s Kate Moss nude on the lips and spritzed the whole face with Urban Decay’s all night fix its spray.
