Melanie’s Wedding at Chapel House Estate Kent

By 5 December, 2023Bridal

Our gorgeous bride Melanie was married In the beautiful Chapel House Estate nestled in serene Kent countryside. Chapel House Estate stands as a haven of timeless elegance with its historic allure and scenic beauty. The venue offers a unique blend of history and luxury, making it an ideal canvas for array of different tastes. The 732-year-old chapel, surrounded by 35 acres of rustic wilderness, provides an intimate yet grand setting. The wild apple orchard and landscaped gardens create an ethereal ambiance. Whether you envision a classic, romantic look or a bold, contemporary statement, Chapel House Estate serves a creative playground.

Melanie wanted her makeup to be an improved version of what she would normally do for herself. Together we went through Melanie’s makeup bag and discussed with her in detail what her usual day to day makeup look entailed and what she wanted to improve. We kept Melanie’s skin natural with extra coverage only as where needed, flushed rosy cheeks, glowey cheek bones and a small winged liner as that was the one thing Melanie felt naked without. We also took care of her sister, bridesmaid and mum’s makeup on the day.

Melanie’s skin was slightly on dryer side so we prepped it with a rich moisturiser and eye cream first and let that skin in while we got we got started on the eyes. Melanie wanted to keep her skin very natural, so we swept a champagne cream eye shadow across her whole lid and then used a soft mid dark brow pencil liner with an angled brush to create the wing. We finished by adding a few individual lashes to wing the eye shape out. Once the skin care had sunk in we then pressed in a small about of pore filling primer into the skin to create a smooth base for the foundation to go on. Again, Melanie wanted to keep her skin natural but covered in the right areas, so we built the foundation up slowly and added extra to concealer only to the areas that need it. For the gorgeous glow on Melanie’s cheek bones we used Lisa Eldridge highlighter and for the flush on the cheeks we used a Nude Stix in blush. We added a little bronzer, brow grooming, mascara and Charlotte Tilbury’s Wedding Bells lip stick to finish the look.
