We were so excited when we first received an email from Anna asking us to be her wedding makeup artists in Puglia Italy, especially when we found out it was going to be at the absolutely stunning Masseria Potenti! We have been lucky enough to do a wedding there before so we knew it was going to be amazing.
We did Anna’s makeup trial run at her home in London a few months prior to the wedding and her makeup brief to us was was modern, sun kissed and glowing! Anna had naturally beautiful skin and wasn’t a big makeup wearer day to day, so we really wanted to keep the eyes and lips quite natural and really make her skin the main focus.
On the morning of the wedding we both stayed close to the venue and Anna arranged for her wedding planner to come and pick us up and take us to the Masseria where all the girls were getting ready. We had 9 ladies to do make up for on the day including the bride, 5 bridesmaids and 3 mums!
Anna had a normal skin type, so we prepped with a light weight moisturiser and really let that sink in while we started the eye make up.
For Anna’s eyes we wanted the lashes to do most of the work! We very lightly added a mushroom toned eye base and then a sweep of light gold metallic shimmer eyeshadow through the center of the eyelid just catch the light, we also really made the inner corner of the eyes pop with a light gold shimmer.
For the lashes we added our favourite light weight individual lashes, Anna didn’t want these super long so we really just added them for fullness and to make the eyes feel a bit special without being overdone.
For the base we only used an oil free tinted moisturiser all over her skin, just to even out the skin tone and keep it looking skin like. We then used the Nars radiant creamy concealer to add a bit more coverage just as and where she needed it.
We then amped up the glow with a combo of Channel baume essentiel and Beauty Pie’s triple liquid highlighter wand, just on the cheek bones and brow bones. For bronzer we used a matte cream bronzer to lightly sculpt the face and for blush a peachy cream blush on the apples of the cheeks.
Anna liked a muted nude lip, we went for Kate Moss Nude by Charlotte Tilbury with a pop of gloss in the center to tie it all together. We finished by powdering down the center of the face and locking everything in with our favourite setting spray!
